How do I contact PSU financial aid? ›

Representatives are available to take your call at 814-865-6301, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Please have your nine-digit Penn State ID number available.

Contact us at 814-867-4244 or financialaid@worldcampus.psu.edu to check your eligibility. Dropping or withdrawing — Dropping classes or withdrawing before aid disburses in late June can affect your aid eligibility.

Call the IT Service Desk at 814-865-HELP (4357) for assistance.

Select "My Finances" and then "Financial Aid" to see your Financial Aid Offer (see below). Select the aid year you wish to view. For the 2024-25 academic year, select "2025". Your estimated financial aid, budget, and estimated charges for the year, as well as a breakdown for each semester, will be displayed.

The cost of attending Penn State for four years, including tuition, room and board, books, and other expenses, is $155,592 for in-state students.

Most certificate programs do not meet the eligibility requirements for federal student aid, however, there are some exceptions. Please contact our office for additional information.

Financial aid disbursem*nt dates vary by school, but are generally between 10 days before the start of the semester and 30 days after classes begin. Factors affecting financial aid disbursem*nt include the type of aid and your year in school.

Disbursem*nt Calendars

Mailed refund checks should arrive within 7-10 business days (Monday - Friday) after check is generated. Direct Deposit refunds are deposited into a U.S. bank account within 3 to 5 business days from the Anticipated Financial Aid Refund date.

Private Student Loan Disbursem*nt

Generally speaking, it may take between two and 10 weeks to process a private student loan. Private student loans are also generally disbursed directly to your school.
